Looking at existing solutions, this is a cool solution to a lighting problem. It can replace either kerosene or oil lamps and pays for itself within 3 months due to no fuel used. The weight is lifted up and uses the power generated by it falling down under gravity to create light. One lift lasts about half an hour then must be lifted again.

Why This is Important

It's a unique innovation born out of the need for less dangerous and more affordable lighting (has no fuel costs).
